The Open Anthropology Cooperative – OAC – ethos is ‘let a thousand flowers bloom’. The OAC has been through a number of evolutions with different ventures coming and going. It is now an archive.

The OAC Team were dedicated to “open access, open membership, open to sharing new ideas, open to whatever the organization might do or become; open to everyone, as in ‘open source’.” We found in OAC seminars, in particular, a place to write and think anthropologically in a forum where the academic straitjacket is loosened but serious thinking and writing encouraged.
