Secretary
EASA seeks a new Secretary to take over from Thomas Fillitz, whose term of office comes to an end following the 2012 Paris conference.
Activities to be covered:
- Coordination of the work of the Executive Committee
- Communication with all function holders in EASA (Treasurer, Book series editor, Journal editors), and with NomadIT
- Coordination of the contents on the EASA-Website (NomadIT takes care of the technical aspects)
- Editor of the EASA-Newsletter (3 times per year)
- Organisation of elections (every second year) and announcement of election results within two weeks
- To uphold information for the EASA-archive
The position of Secretary cannot exceed six years.

Treasurer
EASA seeks a new Treasurer to take over from David Shankland, whose term of office comes to an end following the 2012 Paris conference.
The Treasurer is ex-officio a member of the Executive Committee, and is an honorary position. Within the framework of the executive, the main duties of the Treasurer are: i) to oversee the general financial position of EASA, and to offer accounts to the AGM each year ii) to offer an annual budget for approval to the Executive Committee iii) to negotiate and advise the Executive on its contractual obligations from the financial point of view), iv) to work with the administration of EASA to ensure that its functions are fulfilled economically, and day-to-day financial transactions carried out appropriately v) to liaise with the accountants, Companies House and the Charity Commission as may be necessary, vi) to scrutinize the budget of the bi-annual conference, and otherwise advise the Executive otherwise as they may see fit, vii) to contribute through the above duties to the long-term financial stability and viability of the Association. The position of Treasurer cannot exceed six years.
It is helpful if the successful candidate has a stable institutional affiliation in the UK, for legal reasons.
The position of Treasurer cannot exceed six years (2013-19).
