Our company's New Year card. Owned by two U.S. citizens, the company is located in Japan. The scroll was acquired in Beijing. The calligraphy is by a calligraphy master, a member of the former Qing Dynasty imperial family, who is contributing the proceeds to the ongoing preservation and restoration of the Forbidden City. The Japanese message to the right of the scroll reads "May it be a wonderful year." An example of the global cultural muddle of the early 21st century.
