CALL FOR FIELDWORK PHOTOGRAPHS AND SHORT DESCRIPTION: DEADLINE Monday 4th February 2013

The Royal Anthropological Institute’s Education Department is putting together a printed publication that will go out to schools and colleges teaching anthropology and for future outreach events.  We are interested in publicising the fantastic and important work that anthropologists are doing around the world and are looking for some interesting photographs that we can use for the publication along with a short description.

The RAI's Education Outreach Programme has launched an Anthropology of Sport Photo Contest



The RAI is looking for photos (black and white or colour) which explore the following themes: Globalisation, Identity and The Body



The competition is open to anyone itnerested in anthropology, photography and sport.



All short-listed and winning contestants will have their work published in

RAI educational materials. In addition, for each thematic category a

£50 gift voucher will be awarded to the winning photograph.…

The Meaning of Water

Hello everyone!



If you are interested in anthropology of water and the environment, come an join the RAI for a free event on the River Thames on March 20th. The event focuses on the connections between water, conservation and community. Through presentations, films and exhibitions, participants will explore the economic, political and cultural meanings of water and its impact on the lives of communities around the world.
