I hope you won't mind this message coming out of the blue. I've been trying to put together a "bibliography for the anthropology of contemporary Britain", and I have built up a list of 150+ books on the OAC wiki at:

Soon I'm going to try and annotate and categorise what I have so far, but I would be very glad if other anthropologists who were more familiar with the literature than I am could suggest any further additions of books or edited volumes that I've left off. Hence I thought I should message you in case you might have any bibliographic suggestions.
