Anthopological Fiction

What struck me at university was the way in which so much ethnography is linked with story telling. When I went to Northern Thailand and met an experienced field anthropologist my curiosity grew about the link between anthropology and fiction. And then in China I came across the saying 'all you are is all you say you are'.

I'm currently writing a novel about these concepts. In no way do I intend to denigrate anthropologists and their achievements. In fact, if anything, I want to popularize the discipline so more people can get to terms with the valuable work that is done. But it just seems an obvious cross-over, particularly during his time of deconstruction and inter-subjectivity.
