Greetings back from the Moving Anthropology Student Network

Replying to Keith's hello to the MASN (= The Moving Anthropology Student Network) I'd like to answer the same way by advertising our ning-group a little, too.
The MASN was constituted in Vienna in 2005 as a meeting ground and communication-platform for students of cultural and social anthropology. Since then we've come a long way, with meetings, workshops and conferences in half a dozen countries, with participants from all around the globe. The intention of these meetings was and still is to give students and young scholars the possibility of presenting and discussing their work in an open environment on a non-hirarchical level with students from other universities and countries who are still inside university or on the brink of professionalization - a place for constructive debate, networking, helping each other out and, subsequently, creating and maintaining friendships within the anthropological community and related sciences.

Around the same time (that is, even just a tick earlier) that the OAC opened a ning-group we, too, decided to change our old website/gathering-ground for a new, more dynamic one on NING .

If you haven't already, come by and have a look !
